Must Be The Music: The Summer Set ‘Everything’s Fine’ Album Review

“What’s taking over my brain tonight? Must be the music” and that it is. The Summer Set’s second album ‘Everything’s Fine’ is an undoubtedly feel good album that will have its listener “Shaking like an addict” dancing in their desk chair.

Songs like ‘When we were young’ and ‘Someone Like You’ project an infectious, warm beat that is hard not to get swept up into. But the band has a sensitive side too, shown in passionate power ballad ‘Mannequin’ and stripped down, romantic track ‘Mona Lisa’.

This is a band that will have crowds jumping along to their energetic choruses in no time, and with a US tour coming up in January I’m crossing every crossable part of my body that they’ll make an appearance in the UK soon too. I for one would welcome their upbeat pop-punk party with open arms. Check your troubles at the door, Everything’s Fine.
